A Culinary Journey: My Trip to Taguig City for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Preview

Traveling is not just about the destination; it’s about the experiences along the way. My recent trip to Taguig City for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Series preview event with fellow social media influencers, traditional media representatives, and bloggers from Davao was a mix of excitement, food adventures, and unforgettable memories. Here’s how my journey unfolded, one bite at a time.

The Journey Begins: Delayed Flights and Jollibee Treats

Our adventure started with a slight hiccup—a delayed flight via Cebu Pacific. While waiting, we were treated to lunch courtesy of Jollibee. The familiar comfort of a Chickenjoy meal made the wait more bearable and kept our spirits high for the exciting days ahead.

A Warm Welcome: Brittany Hotel and Dinner at Lugang Restaurant, SM Aura

Upon arriving in Taguig, we quickly checked in at Brittany Hotel, our home for the night. The hotel offered a cozy and elegant vibe, perfect for unwinding after a long day of travel.

Dinner was a delightful affair at Lugang Restaurant Private Dining in SM Aura. The menu was a feast of Chinese dishes, from flavorful dim sum to perfectly cooked meats. Every bite was a celebration of rich flavors, leaving us all happily satisfied.

Dessert Hunt: Discovering Kurimu Ice Cream

After dinner, we craved something sweet and decided to explore for dessert. As Davao natives, we were eager to try something unavailable back home. That’s when we stumbled upon Kurimu, a charming ice cream shop known for its creamy, indulgent flavors. It was love at first scoop—each bite was heavenly and truly one of the highlights of the evening.

The Big Day: Breakfast and Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Preview

The next morning, we started the day with a hearty breakfast at Brittany Hotel. The spread was simple yet satisfying, giving us the energy we needed for the event ahead.

We then headed to SM Aura for the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Preview. The event was a showcase of innovation, with the new phone redefining AI technology as the ultimate smart companion. Alongside the impressive tech, a buffet was prepared for all attendees. From appetizers to desserts, the food was as memorable as the event itself.

Sweet Ending: Pancakes at Tsokolateria and Brownies from Mary Grace

After the event, we wrapped up with a snack at Tsokolateria, where I couldn’t resist their pancake drizzled with rich, velvety chocolate. It was the perfect blend of sweetness and comfort—an indulgence I’ll never forget.

I also try their Bibingka and Churros.

Before heading back to the hotel, we made a quick stop at Mary Grace—a cozy spot for snacks and beverages. Their famous cheesy roll caught my attention, but since cheese doesn't sit well with my GERD—and knowing my daughters love chocolate—I opted for their rich, fudgy brownies instead. A perfect sweet treat to cap the day.

Heading Home: Airport Eats and Plane Meals

As our time in Taguig came to an end, we returned to Brittany Hotel to collect our luggage and made our way to the airport. A quick search led me to a warm bowl of noodle soup and water to tide me over until our flight.

Onboard, Cebu Pacific served a dinner meal, and to my delight, I had a veggie taco wrap that was both fresh and flavorful—a surprising favorite for the trip home.

This journey to Taguig City wasn’t just about attending the Samsung event; it was also about the culinary experiences that added flavor to our adventure. From fast food to fine dining, and discovering desserts to indulging in local favorites, every meal was a story in itself.

As I landed back in Davao City, my heart was full of gratitude—not just for the opportunity to attend a prestigious event but for the chance to create memories through food and travel.

Until the next (food) adventure!
