NATIONAL FRESH FRUIT & VEGETABLE MONTH
As we transition into the season of harvest, it is imperative that we make a concerted effort to patronize our local Farmers' Market. Not only will we have the opportunity to relish in the abundance of fresh, seasonal produce cultivated by our very own Davao farmers, but we will also be doing our part to bolster the local economy by supporting our talented growers and artisans.
In a bid to promote organic farming and support local farmers, the City Government of Davao, in partnership with the Davao City Agri Office (DCAO), has announced the launch of the highly anticipated Organic Farmers' Market. Commencing on June 1, this weekly event will be held every Thursday and Friday, from the early hours of 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., at the picturesque Rizal Park beside Davao City Hall.

June 3 is a significant date for food enthusiasts as it marks the annual observance of National Egg Day. This day is dedicated to celebrating the versatility and nutritional value of eggs, a time-honored tradition that has been observed for years.
It's a well-known fact that eggs are a quick and easy meal option for any time of day. Whether you're in a rush for breakfast, need a quick lunch, or want a simple snack or dinner, eggs are a go-to choice for many. For those embarking on weight-loss journeys or adhering to dietary restrictions, it has become a staple of healthy consumption.
Discover the perfect low-fat, low-cholesterol option to help alleviate acid reflux: the white part of the egg. As someone who was diagnosed with GERD, I can attest that omitting the yolk or yellow part of the egg and opting for the egg whites has been a game-changer for me.
Experience the benefits of a healthier lifestyle by limiting your egg yolk intake. With its high fat content, egg yolks may trigger reflux symptoms, but by making this simple adjustment to your diet, you can take control of your health and feel your best.
As a culinary enthusiast, one may often ponder over the various ways to prepare eggs. The question arises: what can be done to elevate the humble egg to a delectable dish? For a wholesome and satiating breakfast, consider pairing your hard or soft-boiled eggs with a cup of ginger tea. Known for its digestive benefits, ginger tea can provide a refreshing start to your day. Additionally, a low-sugar granola bar can make for a perfect on-the-go snack, helping you stay full and energized throughout the morning. In a valiant effort to maintain a healthy diet, the consumption of fried or scrambled eggs was diligently avoided.
