The noodle dish ramen is considered a "miracle food" because it possesses the optimum proportions of amino acids, fat, and carbohydrate. In the midst of a bowl of ramen, they create beautiful music together. Because of this balance, it has a scrumptious flavour and a tendency to become rather addictive.
During the celebration of my birthday, a close friend of mine surprised me with a Yummy Tokyo Make-At-Home Ramen Kit as a gift.
I couldn't wait to find out what was inside the package, so I quickly opened it. So here's my reaction and my experience cooking the Make-At-Home Ramen.
What I have are these variants:
My favorite is the Spicy Miso. A bowl of Spicy Miso Ramen is something we never turn down. Spicy and garlicky, the miso-dashi broth in this soup goes wonderfully with chewy ramen noodles. It's ready just the same as instant ramen, but it's healthier and has a more nuanced flavour.
My second favorite is the Cold Ramen. Especially now, here in the Philippines we are experiencing El Nino phenomenom. In addition to cool beverages like ice tea or milkshakes, cold ramen is the perfect food to eat when the temperature outside is quite high.
I've never tried cold ramen before, but I really like it. This time of the month is ideal for the cold soup.
Don't get me wrong; I enjoy Black Garlic ramen just fine. I've tried it, but eating too much garlic makes my GERD worse, so I try to avoid it if possible.
You can now make excellent ramen at home, as long as you have the Yummy Tokyo Make-At-Home Ramen Kit with a few key but common ingredients and add-ons.
