You are looking for a restaurant that offers a more upscale dining experience, aren't you?
I've been to a good number of restaurants in this city, and the majority of the ones I've been to focus more on providing a casual dining experience.
At Omertà Bistro & Lounge, you can expect a dining experience that is both elegant and relaxed at the same time. It is a location that absolutely must be tried, as the quality of the dining experience is just as important as the quality of the food. It is safe, provides wonderful service, and has a nice view of the surrounding area.
As I was invited to the Honor Philippines' exclusive media dinner event on March 4, I had the opportunity to sample their cuisine.
They provide us the following as a starter:
- Pulpo Ala Gallega - it's an octopus with potatoes, garlic and paprika. It's a Galician Pulpo a la Gallega or Pulpo a Feira (a Galician term meaning "fair-style octopus") is a typical dish. It is the main dish of the city of Lugo's patron saint celebrations.
- Calamares Fritos - seasoned fried squid and garlic aioli. Fried squid, or calamares fritos in Spanish, is a very popular appetizer or tapa in both Spain and the United States. This dish may also go by the name "Calamares a la Romana." In any case, it has become an immensely popular appetizer dish on restaurant menus worldwide.
We only get to eat one of these menus, so make it count. For my part, I'd choose to order the Pulpo Ala Gallega. It's not that I don't enjoy calamares; I just need to try something different. I really enjoy their appetizer of octopus, which is prepared to perfection. That's how soft it was.
We have a choice between Salmon with Mushroom Risotto and Baked Chicken for the main course.
- Salmon with mushroom Risotto -Salmon fillets seasoned with oregano and fried to a golden crisp are served above a bed of risotto made with arborio rice, shiitake mushrooms, and white wine that has been toasted and slowly simmered with aromatics for an incredibly rich flavor and silky texture.
- Baked Chicken - half-chicken, rosemary, truffle mashed potatoes. This meal really stands out and is great mixed into mashed potatoes!

Try to guess what I've decided on. I agree with you! Baked Chicken. Why? In any case, I had a fast lunch at home that night before heading out to the event, and my entrée at that time was, you guessed it, a salmon fillet. This is why I choose chicken over fish.
This baked chicken dish is a great example of a hearty supper that I thoroughly appreciate. The baked chicken, mashed potatoes, and asparagus on top made a complete meal for one person.
And as a last course, the dessert is brought out. The Churros Con Tsokolate (PHp145) and the Omertà Truffle Chocolate Cake are the two appetizers that are brought to the table for us. And now we have to choose one more time.
The famous Omertà Truffle Chocolate Cake is my pick. I had already sampled their Churros way back in the year 2020; a buddy of mine offered for me to try their Churros, and they taste exactly the same as the Churros sold in the mall. And the Truffle Chocolate Cake, well, that just seems like a puzzle to me. Hence, I have no choice but to try it because I'm intrigued.

To indulge in such a sumptuous and sinfully delicious cake would be the dream come true for any person who loves chocolate. The Omertà Truffle Chocolate Cake has an incredible flavor and an irresistible appeal. The combination of a moist chocolate cake, chocolate truffle filling, and chocolate frosting results in a show-stopping dessert that is not only decadent but also perfect for any kind of special occasion.
That's all I've got to say about Omertàs; this is just my honest opinion, but I've had nothing but good experiences there and can guarantee that you won't be disappointed with the meal, despite the hefty price tag.
Furthermore, the atmosphere is fantastic. These days, restaurants often provide a hybrid dining experience with both indoor and outdoor seating options. When you were in Davao City, you had to check it out.
Here are some of the pictures I got from their Facebook Page. Credit to Omertà Bistro & Lounge.
Again, As for me, I've enjoyed everything I've tried at Omertàs and can say without reservation that the exorbitant prices are well worth it.
